B-Band Statement
B-Band Statement system offers the greatest sonic possibilities for both arco and pizzicato playing styles. Tight, ground-rumbling bass with stupendous, round highs are highlights of this system. With the Statement Mixer, you can instantly switch between two different sounds as you change from one playing style to another.
The Statement system inputs utilize special transimpedance topology to reduce cable losses and increase both transducer bandwidth and headroom. The Statement combines a mixer and three easy-to-install B-Band transducers*, two of which have integrated J-FET transadmittance preamp sections. Two transducers mount into the bridge: one on the bass side and the other on the treble side. The third transducer is fitted underneath the bridge on the bass side. Transducers are connected to a 3-pin XLR output connector.
The Statement Mixer has two individual constant power mix controls, to preset two different sounds, and a footswitch to select between these sounds. With the Mix 1 control giving emphasis to the bridge transducers, a great pizzicato sound with solid bass and transparent upper register is obtained. Mix 2 control, emphasizing the body transducer, produces a huge arco sound with lots of full-bodied bass, yet without honky highs. The system also includes a fixed, sharp-slope, high-pass filter for the elimination of handling noise from the signal. In addition to the usual 9 V battery or regulated 12 V AC/DC adapter, Statement mixer can also be powered by 48 V phantom power. A balanced XLR output is provided.
