Tim Pierce
If you have listened to the radio in the last 20 years, you have most definitely heard the guitar playing of Tim Pierce. His name can be found on literally thousands of album credits by artists like Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Joe Cocker, and the Goo Goo Dolls just to name a very, very few. Let.s not forget all of the T.V. shows, commercials, and feature films he.s played on. The list continues to grow and grow. Besides being one of the busiest guitar players in Los Angeles, he.s also one of the nicest guys you.d ever want to meet. Tim is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Upon his arrival in Los Angeles, one of his first .big gigs. was getting the guitar spot for the Rick Springfield tours. He went on to tour and record with him for several years. Throughout Tim.s career, he.s come across almost every type of guitar equipment out there. He.s very choosy and critical of what he uses. Nothing that is, .just alright. is good enough for him. He says he owes it to the people that hire him to use the greatest sounding gear he can find. Speaking of great sounding gear, this is what Tim had to say about the B-BAND SYSTEM in his guitar.
"My B-Band system captures all the dynamics and delicate nuance of a superb microphone sitting in front of my acoustic guitar. It produces a faithful acoustic tone without the harshness or electric "sizzle" of my prior systems."
The B-Band system that Tim uses in his Fylde acoustic is a CR-2, (Core 99 with B-Band undersaddle pickup and a condenser mic).
On this web page you can find a partial list of the recordings Tim has played on.
