B-Band DM-K Kick Mic

The B-Band DM-K* Drum Contact Mic for kick drums is a remarkable new way to get a great miced sound from your drum consistently, conveniently and with superior isolation. The system consists of the DM-K preamp, built with high-quality class A electronics and the DST Contact Mic for superb tone. The DM-K will work with any size kick drum.

The DM-K preamp attaches quickly to the drum rim without the use of any tools, the DST mounts discreetly on the inside or the drum shell near the batter head while the DST lead is simply fed through the drum air hole to the DM-K preamp.

Once in place users simply plugs a standard XLR cable directly from the DM-K to the PA or mixer, there are no positioning issues and because the contact mic stays in the drum the sound is consistent every time you use it. The DM-K is powered by any 48 volt PA or mixer and has four mini switches for tone contouring: 1) +6 dB bass boost; 2) +12 dB boost at 330 Hz; 3) -8 dB cut at 500 Hz; 4) +8 dB boost at 4 kHz.

In keeping with the B-Band philosophy, the DM-K is very lightweight and does not add any noticeable weight to the drum. The DM-K is unobtrusive and gives your kit a sleek look without getting in the way during a performing. Yet, even with these values, the transducer is very durable and robust, and will endure rigorous touring.
